Wrestling Interview With Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) Wrestler Alicia
Q1. First off Alicia, thanks for doing this interview! My first question is how did you get into the wrestling business?
I was in love with pro-wrestling growing up, and one day my Mom said -- why not check out a wrestling school? (thinking they'd wait till I was 18 to sign me up). And at age 13, they signed me up there on the spot! She thought I'd quit in a few weeks.. boy did things turn out different :).
Q2. Who were your favorite wrestlers growing up? Shawn Michaels, Sherri, Jericho, Nora Greenwald, and more.
Q3. You started out as a wrestling manager than a wrestler. Which out of the two do you like doing more?
I like being a manager and being able to add to a match, but I love being in the ring myself so much more.
Q4. Describe your wrestling Gimmick? Self absorbed, prom queen, bitch ;).
Q5. What was your first ever match like and who was your opponent?
My first match was against Allison Danger, and I have to say it was like the biggest thing in the world to me. I had a great time doing it, and I don't think it was that bad.
Q6. You wrestle for Jersey All Pro Wrestling. What is it like to work there?
Favorite place in the universe to work. I love Love LOVE it there!!!!!! JAPW gives me so many chances to work with different girls like Talia, Mercedes Martinez, & Jackie Gayda. They also have given me a spot in the "D-Factor" which is me, Rhino, and Jonny D, Managing and wrestling there is an AMAZING learning experiance, and i've loved every second of it.
Q7. What Other Wrestling Promotions have you worked for so far in your wrestling career?
JAPW, WXW, NYWC, AWA, WWW, DPW, NECW, SSCW, JCW, IHPW, CCW, IWF, CRUSH!, GLORY, NWS, ECPW, PWE, UCW, UWA, ACWA, GWF, IWA (PA), SCMPW, & YPW.
Q8. What Wrestlers have been good to work with?
In ring it's been nothing but a pleasure to work with Miss Kara, Mercedes Martinez, and Jackie Gayda.
Q9. Who has been your toughest opponent to date? MERCEDES MARTINEZ.
Q10. Have you ever been seriously hurt in the ring?
My nose was broken after taking one heck of a shining wizard at the '04 G.L.O.R.Y. convention.
Q11. What is your most memorable professional moment?
TIEE!! Walking out with Rhino at his return to the ECW arena for JAPW, and winning the Elite 8.
Q12. What Titles have you won So Far in your career?
2005 WXW Women's Elite 8 Champion, WXW Women's Champion, AWA Women's Championship, SSCW Women's Championship, IHPW Women's Championship, & WXW Women's Tag Team Championship (w/Cindy Rogers).
Q13. What's the worst you've been hurt in the ring? Broken nose.
Q14. What do you think about the current state of indy wrestling?
For a while I was beginning to lose all hope, but I think it's starting to get better again. I know some promotions are working their butts off improving themselves, and think it's starting to show.
Q15. Is there any specific indy promotion out there that you would like to work for?
Any place that thinks they need some Alicia.
Q16. What would you like to accomplish in your wrestling career?
To get as far as I can (wherever that may be) happy & healthy.
Q17. Do you have any Hobbies or interests outside wrestling?
All teenage female college student things -- working out, sleep, tanning, shopping, napping, movies, going out, and being obsessed with music.
Q18. Any last comments you'd like to make?
