Today we Interview Indy Female Wrestler Aurora.
Interview Conducted By E L Farrell
Tuesday, November 7, 2006

Who were your favourite wrestlers growing up?
Hulk Hogan and Wonder Woman. (Yes she was a superhero, not a wrestler. But as a kid I saw them as the same.)
What influenced your decision to become a pro wrestler?
I always loved to "play wrestle" as a kid. I got into boxing and always loved being in a ring. The first time I stepped into a wrestling ring and learned some moves, I divorced boxing and married wrestling.
What was your first ever match like and who was your opponent?
My first indy match was for PWX in Ontario, Canada against 21st Century Fox. I felt I needed a lot more strength, so I felt awkward and clumsy - just like Bambi on ice.
Describe your Wrestling Gimmick?
I try to be aggressive with everything I do, and at the same time not losing the fact that I'm a female.
Who has been your toughest opponent or opponents to date?
Princesa Sugey was the most technical.
Poly Star is an awesome brawler.
Chacala would always be a hard fight, being two times my size. Oh and I can't forget Flor de Lotto, La Bruja, and Tigresa Del Norte (all with 15 - 30 yrs experience). I learned so much from fighting these ladies!
What holds and moves are you best known for?
Top rope crossbodies, Mexican leg submissions, and some high flying stuff.
Have you ever been seriously hurt in the ring?
Yes, but luckily nothing too serious. Once, in my 4th month of training, I landed on my head from a powerslam and got a stinger in my right arm...I could not feel it for about an hour. Then another time I got a really bad concussion and lost consciousness. I guess I have a tough head because I was in the ring fighting three days later.
How hard is it being a female in the wrestling business?
It's very frustrating because of the focus WWE has on the eye candy...Fortunately, there are new female promotions that are showcasing good indy female matches.
Describe a typical day of training for you. What do you focus on the most?
I do cardio in the morning, weights in the afternoon, and I love streching. I stretch all day whenever I get free time.
What Promotions have you worked for?
Check out my website www.AuroraWrestling.com for a complete list.
You held the Pure Wrestling Alliance Elite Women's Championship twice. What does it feel like to be the champion?
It feels awesome. I plan to win a lot more championships!
You wrestled for World Xtreme Wrestling in Pennsylvania. What was it like to wrestle there?
It was a memorable experience. I really enjoyed working for WXW. Pops gave me great advice! Thanks Pops!
Who is your Dream opponent?
I have 2:
Mariko Yoshida
Lady Apache
What is your most memorable professional moment in your career so far?
Every second of the entire year I spent in Mexico. The aniversary night I worked in Arena Solidaridad. The card was amazing and it was also the first time I had the opportunity to meet Lady Apache.
What would you like to accomplish in your wrestling career?
I'd like to be a respected international female wrestler.
What other sports or hobbies do you have an interest in?
Boxing, MMA, extreme sports, yoga, reading, being outdoors, travelling, and chilling on beaches.
Any last comments you'd like to make?
Thanks for the interview! And to everyone: Keep supporting indy wrestling!!!
Thanks, Aurora!
