Q1: Hello, To start, how about giving the fans your statistics.
Well in the past year I have been lucky enough to travel the world wrestling. Going on two Europeans tours wrestling in Ireland and Wales. I have wrestled down in California for NWA Pro/New Japan winning the NWA British Commonwealth Title, and have recently been named the NWA and Quebec Rookie of the year for 2006.
Q2: When did you begin wrestling?
I started training to be a wrestler in June of 2004, and had my first professional match in Kildare, Ireland, on May 28 2005.
Q3: You work for Dru Onyx's NWA Quebec in Montreal Quebec Canada. What is it like to work there?
There is alot of great talent in Quebec, and it allows you to test yourself and make sure that you are at your best. I always look forward to stepping in the ring because you know it will be a challenge and alot of fun at the same time.
Q4: What influenced your decision to become a wrestler?
I grew up watching wrestling. I have been watching it since I was old enough to sit infront of a television, and I'll never forget the first live show I went to see, it was a house show for WWE, and I was pretty close to ringside. Just watching the guys and seeing Bret Hart who was my idol at the time really got me hooked and it was what I wanted to do ever since. I'm living my dream.
Q5:What other sports or hobbies do you have an interest in?
Besides wrestling I love working out in the gym. I guess you could say I'm sort of a gym buff. I love playing hockey and soccer, and I also enjoy swimming. I just love training.
Q6:Who is your Dream opponent?
For past, wrestlers it would have to be Dynamite Kid, or Sayama (Tiger Mask)
For present, would be Fergal Devitt from NJPW
Q7: Describe a typical day of training for you. What do you focus on the most?
Early morning I would wake up and run about 4-6 miles, hit the gym in the middle of the day, and then later on get in some wrestling practice. I really enjoy training so I try to emulate some boxer trainings. My trainor Dru Onyx really helps me with this and is always finding new things for me to do to keep me in shape and keep me working hard. He really has prepared me for the opportunities I have received and I could never thank him enough for that. My trainings mostly focus on intensity and endurance.
Q8: What holds and moves are you best known for?
My two submission holds would be the jujigatame armbar and the french guillotine.
Q9: What's the worst you've been hurt in the ring?
I have been pretty lucky with injuries, and have not recieved anything too serious.
Q10: You have wrestled for Irish based company NWA Ireland, NWA Vermont and NWA Pro. What was it like to wrestle for these promotions?
All three have some great talent. Everytime I go down to one of these promotions I look forward to it. I had some great matches with Paul Tracey and Sean Maxer last time i went to NWA Ireland and I enjoy working there everytime. I hope to go back down this summer. NWA Pro is where I won my first title so I could never forget that, they have some great talent aswell, and I really enjoyed working with Alex Koslov. I am going back to NWA Vermont in a couple of months and I look forward to that aswell, they have a great crowd down there that really enjoy wrestling and I love working for them anytime.
Q11: Where and What Other Promotions have you wrestled so far?
Celtic wrestling down in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, No limit Wrestling down in Ireland and many promotions around Quebec.
Q12: You became the youngest NWA British Commonwealth Champion in the history of the title, and also became the youngest wrestler to hold such a major title. How did it feel?
It was a dream come true. It was a great honour just to hold that title after knowing some of the guys who held that belt before me, and I like to think that I brought something to the belt aswell defending it in four countries. It definatly helped me to to get where i want to be and reach my goals. It is an experience I'll never forget.
Q13: You have also been named both the National Wrestling Alliance Rookie of the year, and the Quebec rookie of the year of 2007. What was it like to achieve such an honor?
That is another dream come true. I was honoured when I found out I was named the Quebec rookie of the year, and when I found out abou the NWA Rookie of the year I was in aw. I have been training hard all year and I guess this was just the icing on the cake. I am living my dream and this is a reassurance that my hard work is paying off and just pushes me to train harder to continue on the right path.
Q14: Who do you think is the best wrestler in Wrestling Today?
Kurt Angle. He is the full package, there is nothing that he can't do and can have a good match with anyone.
Q15: What sort of reaction do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
For people who never knew me, might be a bit surprised because of my size. But it all changes from when I get in the ring. I don't think it is a big surprise to people that have known me, I was driven since I was a child, I set my goals infront of me and then I reached for them.
Q16: What is your most memorable professional moment?
Winning the NWA British Commonwealth Title.
